Founder and Owner

Jennifer Lorys graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kean University in 2009.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Minor in Management Science. Throughout her matriculation at Kean University she studied piano with world-renowned pianist, Dr. Martha Marchena and has received coaching from pianist and Multi-Grammy Nominee, Allison Brewster Franzetti. She had the opportunity to participate in piano master classes with world famous pianists Abbey Simon, Tian Jiang, and Guillermo Gonzalez.   Throughout her matriculation and career, Jennifer has performed frequently as a soloist, collaborative pianist, and ensemble musician, performing music of all genres including classical, jazz, chamber, band, and percussion.  She continues to be active at the Kean Conservatory of Music as a guest speaker – primarily presenting on private studio ownership, foundational studio building and success, and as a collaborative pianist, singer, arranger, and composer in community events such as the Kean Conservatory/ Community Access Unlimited Annual Collaborative Concert Series.

In 2012, Jennifer founded Jennifer’s Musical Moments, LLC (JMM), where she offers piano and theory instruction as well as collaborative and music transcription services. She is a dedicated piano instructor to students ranging in age from five to adult, and levels from beginning to advanced. Jennifer hosts piano showcases throughout the year at multiple locations to display and celebrate her students dedication to piano study. Her students have gone on to achieve musical success, performing at school and accompanying school choirs, playing for church services, winning competitions as part of the Piano Teachers Society of America, and going on to become music educators themselves. Above all accolades, Jennifer considers the development of a lifelong love and joy from learning and playing music as the best success a student can achieve, and this belief is at the core of Jennifer’s teaching.
